Menu: Week of 11/16/15



The avocadoes at the Farmer's Market yesterday were cheap, cheap, cheap and in varying stages of ripeness so I bought a whole bag of them to use here and there throughout the week. Some got incorporated into salads, I made a large amount of guacamole that went in the space of 1/2 hour and, of course (because we are in LA), we succumbed to avocado toast for breakfast. The carrots were also beautiful so a large bunch will get used somehow.

Exceptionally, L.'s dad was actually home for an evening this week so we had sushi. He makes the best seasoned sushi rice outside of Japan and we laid out fish, avocado and nori and let everyone roll their own creations while playing happy families.
