This Week's Menu

Between the holidays and the past couple of weeks of (for me) social carousing, my pants were feeling a little snugger than usual and my metabolism a bit sluggish...The beginning of the week continued in that vein and by Wednesday I really had had enough of food, though up until now I did not know that was possible for me.

Were I a proper Cali Girl, I would probably be juicing like crazy but, while I have lightened up enough since moving here to enjoy the occasional green juice (while drawing the line at wheatgrass shots), I prefer a less austere and probably healthier method of getting back on track - no desserts, no alcohol, lots of extra water, limits on the bread and pasta and a lot of veggies and soup. Oh, and lots of extra walking.

I am only posting what I ate. For those who know and love L. (and those who have their own food-vacuuming boys), rest assured that he was properly fed in the manner in which he is accustomed.

I have been so busy with my social life, taxes and things job-hunt related that I am running behind on posting the recipes from last week's menu that I promised to post. That will be remedied this week I promise!
