It's the first day of Spring ('Happy Spring!") but I am not sure that the weather (foggy here in LA), my body (full on winter weight - eek!) or local veggies (not exciting yet) are aware of that.
L. is on vacation so, among many things, we have a few food projects - to make soup dumplings together from scratch, to go eat oysters somewhere since we are both in the mood, to try a different Farmer's market than our local one and to make it to Coolhaus if we can, because their ice cream flavors sound really interesting. L. also put in some dining requests, which I have tried to temper with extra veggies and pre-Spring (despite the date) flavors and Stubbie, who has been away all week, has asked for a roast chicken for Sunday evening so - hopefully - everyone's needs are being met.
(P.S. I am aware that lobsters are not really immortal, though biologically fascinating as to how they age. I just like the concept and the meme).
