We were all craving chicken for some reason so decided to make yakitori, Japanese chicken on skewers brushed with a soy based sauce. We got out the BBQ since you need a charbroiled flavor for yakitori to taste good and, while I contributed traditional chicken skewers, Stubbie branched out into beef as well.
Internet on the Cape is spotty and I somehow lost most of the images of this meal which included the chicken skewers below, Stubbie's been skewers and chicken tsukune, which are ground chicken yakitori. We also had a cucumber salad and perfect rice sprinkled with dried seaweed.
My contribution: chicken and spring onion skewers
My contribution: asparagus with miso mayo dipping sauce
