My sister's boyfriend is vegetarian; she is not. She invited herself to dinner last night, and we were glad to have her, but this is typically L. and my vegetarian evening and I felt that this was unfair to her. Therefore our original savory bread pudding main course became a side dish and we added the porkiest of pork chops with spring ramps to the meal and a lovely shrimp, fennel and nasturtium salad as an appetizer, as shown above.
