What You Have When Your Son Gives You His Flu

Yesterday I made pumpkin soup from scratch in 10 minutes because L. has the flu and is feeling poorly. He kindly passed it on to me (...!) and since soup seemed to have restorative powers where he was concerned, decided to do another freezer sweep for soup for myself.

Pork meatballs with Chinese Five Spice, my mom's home made gyoza used like wonton, a package of homemade spring roll filling from the freezer and lots of duck stock. Last but not least, a bit of leftover sauerkraut to add acidity.

Sounds horrible, tasted delicious. Or maybe this flu has just commandeered my taste buds...
