Yakisoba with Veggies and Squid



A big bowl of nostalgia...growing up this was the street food that we bought every Saturday morning on the way home from ice-skating. I cheated with this dish and bought a kit of noodles and sauce at my local Asian market because I didn't think I would be able to replicate the sauce. I stir-fried scallions, cabbage, thinly sliced pork and squid, added this to the noodles which I had pan-fried with a slick of duck fat for added flavor, and topped the mix with shiso-nori and pickled ginger to make it all taste more home-made.

This was INHALED by both parties involved in eating it.
