The above still life with tomatoes shows only 5 of the 7 pounds worth of tomatoes that I received in this week's CSA box. A huge, dense 1 pounder went home with my mother and another was transformed into tomato tea sandwiches on pappy white bread (the only time one should use it, really.) L. and I are away on the Cape at the end of the week for a long weekend, so for a few days we will definitely be having tomato with everything.
