This is a tart and refreshing granita that can be glammmed up with the addition of fresh fruit, with my personal preference leaning towards these Apricots with Aperol, or fresh cherries, figs, or pomegranite arils and a glug of tequila to make it taste even more than its inspiration: the Mexican sangrita (not to be confused with Spanish sangria).
This is an excellent dessert for the summer heat and very easy to make.
2 cups pomegranite juice
1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
Mix all the ingredients together and place in the freezer in a shallow dish.
Stir with a fork every 20-30 minutes, breaking up the crystals as they form until you have an end result that ressembles the image above. That's pretty much it for a quite sophisticated tasting dessert.
FYI, any leftovers make an excellent base for a frozen cocktail slushie the next day.
